Olivia & William
The Fives Beach Hotel
Describe one of your favorite memories or highlights of your destination wedding:
What I loved specifically about having a destination wedding was being able to mingle and have face time with our guests throughout the trip so that we didn't feel pulled on wedding day. Having a destination wedding also kept things more intimate, which we really loved. My dad keeps asking me if William and I can get married again and this time he will stay for a week (this coming from the guy who tried to talk me out of doing it at all). Everyone really enjoyed themselves, the weather was beautiful, the resort does so many of these weddings they have it down to a science so it really takes the pressure off. Family and friends from across the world came together to celebrate and it was just so cool to get people together for more than just a wedding, but a trip!
Why would you recommend a destination wedding to future couples?
I think my answer above covers this question too. I keep telling everyone I HIGHLY recommend a destination wedding. I find it to be cheaper, yes you have the travel costs, but I don't factor that in because that's the vacation aspect, if you look at the cost to have a wedding at the resort v.s. a wedding at home it's so much more cost effective. It's also so much more intimate, you "cut the fat" so to speak. Of course there will be folks that you wish could make it, that don't end up coming for various reasons, but I still wouldn't trade it. Truly the best decision we made was having a destination wedding, 0 regrets!
My destination wedding was...
Romantic for sure, doing personal vows in front of everyone was top tier. It truly was the best day of my life. It goes by SO fast!
Your number one tip (or two) for future destination wedding couples:
Take it all in, take all the pictures and mental photos. Keep your drinking to a minimum, I didn't drink at all on the day of the wedding and I can't recommend it enough. If you're someone that needs a drink or two to take the nerves off, then do it! But I would very much recommend not going past a slight buzz. We've all had nights that we know were fun, but due to drinking we lose part of the night, can't remember some key details or conversations. You don't want that to be the case on your wedding day. I guess none of that was specific to destination couples, specifically to them I'd say don't get too stressed over the planning process and responsiveness of the resort. They really do know what they are doing and everything will fall into place.

Client Review:
Beth is the Bomb!
As soon as I chatted with Beth we just clicked. She is a no nonsense - straight shooter kind of person, and I just LOVE that. We talked about what I was looking for in a resort, the locations I was considering and she came up with a detailed analysis of options. There are an incredible amount of resort options, too many for someone unfamiliar to decipher. This took the guesswork out of it and made it so I could make an informed decision. I ended up with The Fives Beach Resort and it truly was perfect. All of my guests were in awe of the grounds & wildlife, the beach was incredible, food was awesome, the Plaza as a place to congregate was top tier. I couldn't have done it without her. She also has a great relationship with the resorts so she was able to negotiate pricing with them, walk me through the contract process, provide recommendations for using in house vendors or otherwise, etc. I can't recommend Beth enough! If you book with her you will not regret it!
