Hilton Playa Del Carmen

Describe one of your favorite memories or highlights of your destination wedding:

What I loved specifically about having a destination wedding was being able to mingle and have face time with our guests throughout the trip so that we didn't feel pulled on wedding day. Having a destination wedding also kept things more intimate, which we really loved. My dad keeps asking me if William and I can get married again and this time he will stay for a week (this coming from the guy who tried to talk me out of doing it at all). Everyone really enjoyed themselves, the weather was beautiful, the resort does so many of these weddings they have it down to a science so it really takes the pressure off. Family and friends from across the world came together to celebrate and it was just so cool to get people together for more than just a wedding, but a trip!

Why would you recommend a destination wedding to future couples?

So there are a couple of memories of my “wedding week” as I like to call it. The first memory would be Doug and I deciding to take a “leap of faith” the day before our wedding and jump out of an airplane, skydiving over the Playa Del Carmen beachfront (HIGHLY recommend). Of course, overall my favorite memory would be the wedding day, it was nothing less than perfect. The weather was beautiful, the food and drinks were great, the DJ was amazing, our dance floor was packed the entire reception – it was magical. I wish I could relive that day over and over again.

Why would you recommend a destination wedding to future couples?

Not only were we able to celebrate our wedding night with our closest friends and family, but we were able to celebrate for close to a week in PARADISE. Not to mention it was such a great opportunity for Doug and I’s friends and family to connect with one another throughout the week. Beth and our wedding coordinator made planning this wedding very seamless. We also found that it was significantly cheaper than planning a local wedding. It was by far the best decision we could have made.

My destination wedding was...

By far the best day of my life. It was magical, romantic, SO MUCH FUN, and absolutely beautiful.

Your number one tip (or two) for future destination wedding couples:

Put yourself first. If this is something you want to do, you more than likely will not please everyone, and you must be ok with that. You also have be understanding. Yes, we were surrounded by close to 60 of our closest friends and family, but there were very close people to Doug and I that were not able to make it due to various reasons (personal, financial, family, etc.). It can be a tough pill to swallow when you are not standing next to your best friend or your grandparents can’t be there to watch you walk down the aisle, but at the end of the day it was your choice to do the destination wedding. Enjoy yourself, relish in the moment, and don’t stress over small details – everything will come together!

Client Review:

Fairytale Wedding in Paradise

From the very beginning to the end Beth was responsive, professional, and very knowledgeable. She helped guide us on the resort choice, was the middle man for all communication with the resort coordinator and vendors, and was there to point my husband and I in the right direction. The travel was smooth and seamless for us and our guests. Once we arrived at the resort, Beth had personally reached out and made sure everything was going smoothly. She followed up after the wedding for a little recap on how everything went. We had the wedding of our dreams, surrounded by about 60 of our closest friends and family, thanks to Beth and her amazing guidance and support.
