Describe one of your favorite memories or highlights of your destination wedding:
One of our favorite memories was hosting a “Sail Before the Veil” catamaran celebration with our wedding group. Where to begin? Sailing, music, dance parties, food & alcohol, water slides, and water toys. It was pure fun and such a special way to kick off the weekend with Alleycatsailing. This was the best way to start our wedding weekend by celebrating with all our loved ones who made the trip to be there for us. This was our moment when it all started to sink in, and it was so special to be surrounded by so much love and support. We created so many memories that we would never have had the chance to do without doing a destination wedding.
Why would you recommend a destination wedding to future couples?
I would recommend a destination wedding because it creates intentional time together. Spending multiple days with friends and family allows for deeper connection and shared memories that go far beyond the wedding day itself. We were able to get so much more out of our wedding budget—more intentional time with family and friends, more special memories, a boat trip, fireworks, elevated decor, lights, and a dance floor—than we would have if we had had our wedding locally back home.
