The whole week was just such a blessing bumping into our family and friends everywhere we went. Restaurants, the gym, poolside bars. Everywhere we went we had a loved one who made an extremely long trip just to celebrate us. So fun to spend a week in paradise with all of our favorite people!
All of the pictures do not do the location and view justice. Standing at the "alter" under the Sky Gazebo during our ceremony at Majestice Elegance with the water and palm trees in the background is still so surreal. We feel so lucky.
My destination wedding was...
Non-stop fun, romantic, wild, off the hook, best time of my life, etc the best experience of our lives. We wouldn't change a thing about the trip or the wedding! It was recently our 1 year wedding anniversary and we have spent a ton of time looking back at all the memories we made. We also had almost all of our guests not only reach out to congratulate us - but also share photos of their favorite experiences / memories which has been great! All of our guests LOVED their time at Majestic for our wedding celebrations and it has made many of them want to travel as a group more in the future!
Your top tips for future destination wedding couples
USE BETH!! Working with Beth made coordinating getting our favorite people to our favorite day a breeze!! She was there for us as needed during our time at the resort and assisted with making recommendations for local vendors which was super helpful! :)
Organization is key - we made a spreadsheet to track all our anticipated costs with all vendors and it helped in the planning process so much!
Fill out your pre-wedding documentation as well as possible and include many inspo pics to help your onsite wedding coordinator really understand and be able to bring your vision to life!
Don't panic! It's a lot of hurry up and wait. Majestic knocks out many weddings each day and looking back, we had some stressors prior to arriving to Mexico that weren't necessary at all! When you get there and finally meet with your wedding coordinator face to face, you'll be shocked how prepared they are and from there, everything runs like a well oiled machine!
