Destination Wedding Reflections:

I loved that the entire week we were able to catch up and hangout with all of our friends and family and truly be able to just enjoy our wedding and have a great time together instead of only having the one evening to do all of that. I really had such a great time at the reception and I felt everyone else did as well, which was one of my main items I really wanted.

I didn’t necessarily have to be as involved in terms of getting all the vendors and scheduling everything down to the second, the resort and wedding coordinator takes care of that. It’s nice to see everyone out of their element and you get to celebrate all week long.

Why would you recommend a destination wedding to future couples?

I feel a destination wedding is certainly the cheaper option and I feel you get so much more out of the destination than a local wedding. For example I didn’t necessarily have to be as involved in terms of getting all the vendors and scheduling everything down to the second, the resort and wedding coordinator takes care of that. Plus you’re getting a vacation out of the wedding which I don’t think most people would genuinely just take so it’s nice to see everyone out of their element and you get to celebrate all week long.

My destination wedding was...

Seamless and so much fun.

Your top tips for future destination wedding couples:

Don’t stress, the venue/ coordinator and your travel advisor will take on the heavy load. Just be prepared with the details you want and hand the rest off.

Be prepared for not everyone to make it due to various reasons but know that it will still be everything you want/ need the day of.

It’ll all work out the way it’s supposed to, enjoy the day!
