Everything and more to us. It was giving constant romantic, timeless vibes which is exactly what we were looking for.
Describe one of your favorite memories or highlights of your destination wedding
Would be seeing the venue for the first time. Tears streaming down my face with happiness. Everything is so new and so beautiful and pure. Knowing that the rest of our lives together is starting today was the greatest feeling ever. We were surrounded by such joy and comfort we loved every minute of it.
Why would you recommend a destination wedding to future couples?
100000x’s yes! I would recommend a destination wedding to everyone. Every couple I encounter I tell them the same thing. For the money you’re spending on a wedding you might as well get a vacation out of it! The one thing I would start saving up on is a photographer and videographer they were something I would splurge on to make the memories last a lifetime.
Your number one tip (or two) for future destination wedding couples
My number one tip for future destination wedding couples, would be to trust the wedding department with your vision, if you are really transparent about you wants for your wedding the décor team will work with you. There was a really pretty arch we wanted on the alter with roses it was so expensive we asked how to make it cheaper. Without any hesitation they stated we can add greenery and use it for both the wedding and the reception. That was such a big help and made it for a beautiful area around our sweetheart table. Also! Joining the facebook group for brides, this helped out so much for any questions that I had, they made it so easy and to look at other brides weddings as well.
Destination Wedding Reflections:
Our destination wedding was everything and more to us. It was giving constant romantic, timeless vibes which is exactly what we were looking for. Six months later the family is still talking about how nonstop fun it was and how they are wanting to go back! A couple family members are also planning on doing a destination wedding once they get engaged. Knowing that, we have forwarded over Beth’s information because she made us feel the most comfortable and most knowledgeable about the resort. We had the time of our lives.
We joke about it and ask each other if we would get married here again and we would. Everyone was so nice being a same sex couple as well, we did not feel out of place everyone was so supportive. It was the most memorable time we have ever had. We even had our room upgraded to a big fancy one with stairs and we felt like royalty the entire time!
